***Read the following policies and procedures carefully. Failure to comply may prevent you from being able to make appointments in the future.***

The ESL Lab at the English Language Center is designed to serve international students enrolled in a WRAC course, an IAH 201 course, or its equivalent. Other international students may make lab appointments, but should be aware that their appointments may be changed with little notice to accommodate WRAC and IAH students.

-

If you are a WRA or IAH student and are unable to make an appointment because the schedule is full, contact the ELC directly during normal business hours. You can email (elc.msu.edu), phone (353-0800), or visit (B230 Wells). We will do our best to accommodate you.

Check in at the start of each appointment at the English Language Center front desk, in Wells Hall B230.

-

If you cannot attend your appointment as scheduled, you must log in to change or cancel your appointment at least 6 hours in advance. If you miss three scheduled appointments, you may be blocked from using the system.

If you know you will be late to a scheduled appointment, contact the ELC front desk at (517) 353-0800. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled.

To each appointment, bring your course syllabus, the guidelines for the assignment you’re working on, and any drafts of the assignment you have completed so far.

During a single appointment, you will meet with a consultant for 50 minutes.

Appointments can be made one week in advance. You may schedule a maximum of one appointment per day and two appointments per week.
